Additional Fees:
- Paperwork: There is a charge for any paperwork that the patient requests to have completed. Paperwork is completed only outside of appointments, and generally will incur a fee of $150-200, which is calculated dependent on time required to complete the forms.
- No show or late cancellation with less than 48 hours notice: Full cost of service that was scheduled.
-Phone calls: There is a charge for phone calls that exceed 10 minutes. Phone calls exceeding 10 minutes are charged at the rate of an office visit, in increments of 30 minutes. There is no charge for a phone call lasting less than 10 minutes. A phone call lasting between 10 and 30 minutes is charged at the rate of a 30 minute follow-up visit ($175). A phone call lasting between 30-60 minutes is charged for an additional 30 minute office visit (total of $350). Each additional 30 minutes will accrue an additional fee of $175.
Genetic testing: If indicated, and clinically appropriate, genetic testing is offered through GeneSight. Cost varies according to insurance coverage and GeneSight will discuss that with you. Interpretation of the results and a treatment plan is offered as part of a 60-minute follow-up visit after a sample is collected at the previous visit.
Policies
Nelson Psychiatric Associates, PLLC does not participate with any insurance plans and is considered an “out of network” provider. Patients are required to pay for services at the time of their appointment. If you request, you will be provided with a receipt, or superbill, which you may submit to your insurance carrier.
No show or late cancellation with less than 48-hour notice will be charged the full cost of the service that was scheduled. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a “no show” and you will be charged for the service that was scheduled, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Due to state and federal regulations, we cannot accept any patients that have Medicare, TennCare, Medicaid, or QMB.
